The Draminski Mastitis Detector is an electronic device used to detect the presence of subclinical mastitis in dairy cows. Simply milk a sample into the cup of the detector for a clear readout, giving an overview of the health of the quarter. The Draminski mastitis detector works by measuring the electrical resistance of a milk sample, based on the salt levels. An increase in salt levels will alter the electrical resistance of the milk and therefore indicate the presence of subclinical mastitis before visual symptoms become apparent.
