Vink is the go-to name in fabricated farm equipment. The Vink calving aid has been tried and tested for decades and is the most effective calf puller on the market. By using a robust pole and ratchet, consistent results are achieved every time.

Things to consider when buying a new Vink calving aid, include space, ease of use and size of animal. The standard calf puller is available in two lengths, 1600mm and 1800mm. In our experience, most agricultural customers prefer the 1800mm pole as it prevents the need to reset your calving ropes mid-pull. Veterinary customers however nearly always prefer the shorter 1600mm pole as it is easier to handle and control. In addition to the standard model, there is the alternate leg ratchet and the beef model, making a total of 4 variations. The alternate leg ratchet allows each leg to be pulled individually as opposed to both together and this is the most popular model that we sell. The beef model is used for beef animals where larger calves are the norm and cows frequently struggle to give birth without assistance. The beef model has a longer ratchet handle, thicker pole and wider head. Because of this, the beef model has an exclusive range of spare parts that don’t fit the standard models.
