Standard Returns & Refund Policy:
We acknowledge that the sale of items online can be a tricky process when you aren’t able to physically see them, which is why we offer free returns on any goods that need a replacement size, style or other variant within the UK mainland.
What to do if you need to return an item:
If you are unhappy with the sizing, fit, colour or other variation of an item that you have purchased, let us know within 14 days of delivery and we will arrange a return and a replacement for you.
In accordance with distance selling trading laws, complete and partial refunds are offered on all returns that we (Cornerstone Supplies Ltd t/a Abbeydale Direct) are notified of within 14 days of delivery date and returned to us within a further 14 days. Notification of a return shall be done by either email or telephone 01335 347788. Upon receiving notice of a return, Abbeydale Direct shall issue a returns address for goods to be returned to. Goods should be returned by the customer within a further 14 days to be refunded. Please note that during the months of November and December, we offer an extended return period for Christmas gifts to be returned or exchanged. Should your purchase in November or December fall outside of our standard 14 days, you have until the 5th of January to notify us of any returns you wish to make.
Are returns and exchanges free?
Exchanging items:
If you’re exchanging an item for a similar in stock item (for example to a better size) we will send you a return label, which you will need to take to a local drop off point. This will be free to you.
Returning items for a refund:
If you are returning an item for a refund the cost of the original postage will not be refunded, only the cost of good(s) purchased.
Exchange variations can include size, colour and style, however each request for an exchange is dealt with on an individual basis. In some cases the retail price of a replacement item will differ to the original purchased item, in these instances additional charges or a partial refund will apply to the new transaction.
Partial returns:
In some cases partial returns will disqualify an order from a promotional discount or offer. In these cases the refund will revoke the discount and the refund returned will be to the original none discounted level.
Unqualified items:
Regrettably, any goods returned that show visible signs of use, wear or are otherwise unsaleable, will be deemed to have been accepted by the customer and therefore no longer eligible for replacement, refund or credit. This includes, but is not limited to, marking, dirt or wear related damage. To avoid disappointment, please ensure that you are happy with your purchase before use. In the event of an item being returned and rejected we shall arrange to have the item re-delivered to you at no extra cost.
Risk of cross contamination:
For reasons of health and safety we reserve the right to refuse returns or exchanges on items which may carry a risk of cross contamination. If you would like further information prior to ordering please contact us here.
Manufacturing faults:
If an item is suspected to have suffered from a manufacturing fault within a reasonable timeframe of the delivery date we may offer a repair or replacement of the item in accordance with trading law. If an item has failed or suffered damage due to misuse or excessive wear and tear, we reserve the right to refuse refund or replacement. Items that are supplied with a manufacturer’s warranty will be repaired or replaced in accordance with the terms set out by the manufacturer.
